# Moving from redorca.tech

> Oyster moved from redorca.tech/oyster to redorca.ai on 30 October 2026. What changed, what you need to do, and how to bring browser-only history across.

Oyster used to live at `redorca.tech/oyster`. Since **30 October 2026** it has its own address: [redorca.ai](https://redorca.ai/). The old links redirect there.

## If you have an account

Nothing moves, because nothing needs to: your account, conversations, files, findings and memories are the same. **Sign in once on redorca.ai** — a sign-in belongs to one site, so the one on redorca.tech does not carry over. Use the same email and password, or Google.

## If you used Oyster without an account

Your history lived only in your browser, on the old address. To bring it across:

1. Open [redorca.tech/oyster/migrate](https://redorca.tech/oyster/migrate) in the same browser you used before, and choose **Download my local history**. You get a JSON file.
2. Open [redorca.ai/migrate](https://redorca.ai/migrate) and choose that file. Oyster shows what it contains before importing.

What moves: your anonymous chat history, your Code Lab snippets, and an answer that was still being written. What does not: any sign-in. Exporting deletes nothing.

## If you installed Oyster as an app

Remove it and install again from redorca.ai. See [Install Oyster as an app](https://documentation.redorca.ai/get-started/install-app/).
