# Isolation

> How Oyster keeps each account's projects, files, memories, findings and SOC Copilot cases apart — and anonymous visitors' files apart from each other.

Everything you put into Oyster is scoped to your account, and inside it to the active project.

## What is isolated

| What | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Projects and their conversations | Only you |
| Uploaded files, and answers drawn from them | Only you |
| Long-term memories | Only you, per project |
| Findings | Only you — unless you share a link or publish one |
| SOC Copilot cases, evidence and reports | Only you: each account has its own SOC Copilot database |
| Red Team scope | Only you, per project |

Switching projects switches the files, memories and scope in play. Oyster resolves whose data a request may touch from who is signed in, never from an identifier in the address.

## Without an account

Each browser gets its own signed visitor identity and its own temporary space for attached files, so two people on the same office or mobile network never see each other's files. Those spaces are deleted after 30 days without use.

## Shared on purpose

- **The knowledge base** is shared reference material that every account reads and none can change. Your files never enter it. See [The knowledge base](https://documentation.redorca.ai/understand/knowledge-base/).
- **Published findings** are readable by every signed-in user, under your nickname, until you make them private again. See [Findings and sharing](https://documentation.redorca.ai/guides/findings/).
