Data and privacy

This page explains Oyster’s data handling in plain terms. The binding text is the privacy policy and the terms of service.

  • Your conversation stays in your browser. It is not stored on our servers and never used for training.
  • Files you attach go into a temporary space tied to your browser, separate from everyone else’s, and are deleted after 30 days without use.
  • Your conversations are stored in your account and visible only to you.
  • They are used to improve Oyster’s AI. That is the condition of the free account, not an optional extra, and it is part of the agreement you accept before your first message.
  • Exchanges that contain credentials are dropped from training data, not redacted.
  • Files you upload stay in your own private workspace. Other accounts cannot see them.
  • Long-term memory is yours to switch off, review, edit, export and delete, and its content is encrypted at rest.

Oyster’s models run on infrastructure Red Orca operates in the EU. Your conversations are not sent to a third-party AI provider. All traffic to Oyster is encrypted (HTTPS).

All in Settings (the wheel in the sidebar footer):

Oyster is made by Red Orca, alongside Dolphin and Shark. One account for all three.
